Welcome to My Blog: 23 May, 2008
Hi, my name is Nick and I am the the 'owner' here at Maiagrace Co. I have decided to add a blog to the site (which i hope you will find both entertaining and informative) to be able to give news and information about our activities. I thought it might also be a fun way to provide additional information about our products and perhaps share a few of my own ideas about using the products and creating a nice environment in the home. People who know me will tell you that I am passionate about my creature comforts and take my home environment very seriously.
In case you were wondering, Maiagrace is my daughter's name - while searching for a name for our business, we simply decided to name it after her. You can see her (above) taking full advantage of one of our Triangle Cushions to take a quick nap!
Maiagrace Co was originally formed in 2006 - with the general concept of providing a range of (perhaps) off beat products which are attractive, useful, good quality and at a price that won't make your eyes water too much. Our original products were simply Thai Triangle Cushions, which have proved to be very popular with people here in the UK. Following the early success of these products, we have added a number of new ranges including Thai Yoga Massage Gear, Silk Cushions, Home & Spa Decorations.
Thai Yoga Massage: 12 June, 2008
Let me just say right from the start - I am no expert in Thai Yoga Massage - but anyone who has ever had a real
Thai Yoga Massage will know what a wonderfully invigorating experience this kind of massage is..... if you are a
Thai Yoga Massage expert, then I salute you (and please excuse my lay man's description of your art). If you have never had a
Thai Yoga Massage then your life is defiantly missing something, I thoroughly encourage you - implore you even - to get out there and find one. You will
not be disappointed.
I have heard this ancient practice described as being "Yoga for the lazy" or "Yoga that someone does
to you". Thai Yoga Massage does not use oils and is an ancient practice which seeks to balance the body’s energy flows through stretching and manipulation. The person receiving the massage invariably remains fully clothed and no oils are use in the massage.
Thai Yoga Massage is usually carried out on a soft but firm
Massage Mat which is placed on the floor. Additional small
cushions and
bolsters are used to give extra support and comfort where needed,
kneeling cushions are also used for the comfort of the practitioner. This is of course is exactly where
Maiagrace Co. comes in. After having a
Thai Yoga Massage while on business in Thailand, I decided that we had to add a range of authentic Thai products to our offerings. The experience of having my jaded body manipulated and rejuvenated (without lifting a finger myself) while supported on a firm bed of natural kapok was something I wanted everyone to experience.
Maiagrace now carries a fairly comprehensive range of products which can be used for
Thai Yoga Massage - this includes large and super sized
Massage Mats,
kneeling cushions, large and small
bolsters,
neck support cushions and
neck wraps -
Thai Yoga Massage Gear. We are constantly adding to the range, so check back regularly.
My little blog entry is not designed to be an exhaustive article on
Thai Yoga Massage, just a quick overview and to give an idea of how Maiagrace fits in........ here are a few links to sites and organizations where you can find more information:

Thai Triangle Cushions: 28 June, 2008
It has been a week or so since my last blog entry - sometimes it is hard to find time to sit down and write, but here we are and i have decided to add my thoughts on the wonderful Thai Triangle cushions.
I have always been passionate about these fabulous cushions and I am attached to them because they were the very first product that Maiagrace Co offered to the general public way back in 2006.I could write volumes on the trials and tribulations we went through getting the first container load organized and safely in our storage facility, but that as they say is another story.
Home and Spa Decorations (Buddhist Theme)
Following a considerable period of research and general procrastination

(not to mention frantic discussions) we have finally taken the leap and decided to introduce to our site a brand new range of
Home and Spa Decorations with a distinctly Buddhist flavour.
Buddhist temples are often adorned with some of the most sublime images and articles possible to imagine. These are not used as a simple visual decoration but placed to help create a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere conducive to meditation and relaxing contemplation. Temple bells, gongs, Buddha and monk images, candle holders wind chimes and incense feature strongly in most temples creating an oasis of tranquility which rises like a Lotus Flower above the troubled waters of everyday life.
Our inspiration is to try and provide people here in the UK with the opportunity to capture a slice of this calming tranquility in their homes, spas, massage centres etc. Searching for and selecting these products has not been without problems, but has been a fun and rewarding experience at the same time.
Now that we have managed to get the project running (with the first products available in February 2009) we hope that our customers will enjoy / obtain satisfaction from adding items from our range of
Home and Spa Decorations to their living and working spaces.
